I just purchased this vintage Shelley Potteries, Ltd, large oval serving platter from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece was produced by the Staffordshire works as part of their "Bridal Rose/ Rose Spray" pattern which was introduced in 1940. It is beautifully executed on the Dainty blank which shows crisp mold and fine detail to the fine ribbed / geometric pattern. The English rose transfers show nice color and fine detail against the bright white bone china ground. The piece measures 16 7/8" in width and 13 3/4" in depth and bears the pictured "Shelley Fine Bone China" green mark and "Bridal Rose" pink band (#13545). It is in like new condition with no damage or noted wear. Please check my other listings for additional pieces in this MASSIVE estate Shelley Bridal Rose china service.
