This Scripto pencil is in clean, very good condition. It measures 5⅜” long (including the eraser) by ⅜” thick. There are no cracks, chips, or dings, and the metal parts also look very nice. Plus, the clip holds tight against the barrel with no lift and the trim ring is shiny with crisp stampings. Overall, this pencil is quite nicely preserved.
Most importantly, the pencil works perfectly. It uses 0.9mm (.036”) lead in its simple and dependable propelling mechanism, extending the lead with turns of the writing cone. Retraction, when needed, takes a turn or two in the opposite direction. Plus, the eraser looks practically unused, but is probably too old to be effective. And, there is a small supply of original leads stashed away in the barrel recess.
