This auction is for a very nice Art Deco glass and chrome cocktail shaker with pouring spout in the lid.

It is about 28cm tall and made of good robust thick glass to withstand the rigours of shaking with ice.

It is etched with IDA on the front in a very typical Deco font and style. I was told that this was from the Institute of Decorative Arts but I’m unable to confirm this. It appears to be American, in the style known as “High Tower”.

It does have a little surface rust to the underside of the lid, which can be easily removed by the next owner.

It’s a really nice typical Art Deco item and would look great in a man cave, home bar or as part of an Art Deco collection or just a great decorative item for your home.
