A 1970's
Nice working
SIGNAL
Model CP-80
Compact 8 Track Tape Player
Car-Truck- Vintage Rod

It is being sold "AS IS" for parts or repair only because its vintage electronics. Here's what I know about it....

This unit was received untested. No wiring harness. But looked to have had very little use.

The only thing I have done is made the wiring harness and added a fuse, provide a wiring hookup diagram, burnished the capstan, checked the belt,  cleaned and de-magnetized the head and capstan and tape path and gave a drop of oil to the capstan, track change solenoid and motor bearings. And used a cleaner lube on the controls.
After hooking it up to a couple old computer speakers it plays my classic Beach Boys tapes and a few others, changes tracks with the track selector and with the tapes foil.

Nice little player with plenty of volume.

This is , 5 1/2" inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 2 1/2  inches high. Its small enough to fit in tight places.
Great working unit. Why buy a untested unit that will probably need repairs.

Because it is over 50 years old , It is being sold "FOR PARTS ONLY"  Currently it is working good.
