New Imperial 1933 Model 30 250cc

For sale here we have a lovely restored and running 90-year-old motorcycle , with hand change gearbox , girder forks and rigid rear suspension, the bike has a V5 in my name and address I have had the bike for over 2 years enjoyed lots of rides on it,  generally is a good starter and keeps pace with modern traffic on the B roads with well planned braking !

The number of listed former owners is 1 , but that can’t be correct because when the previous owner bought the bike 57 years ago (1967) from a bike dealer in Southport back, the original logbook was missing , in those days “human beings” issued replacement  logbooks so a new buff logbook was issued with no former owners, what I can say is it has only had 2 owners including me in the last 50 odd years .The current V5 correctly states March 1933 as the 1st registration date.

If you want to, I believe the RN2905 is transferable , but that would a shame.

Please look at the pictures to see for yourself how well this wonderful machine looks !

The eagle eyed will note it is not fitted with the standard brass carburettor , but a 1970’s Japanese carburettor , which may explain why she starts & goes so well ? but for the purists the original brass carb is included in the box of spare parts.

These bikes never had a speedo fitted because it was a legal requirement back then nor were brake lights,  but these are still capable of tripping speed cameras, so a digital speedo is fitted for peace of mind even it looks odd just makes it more practical to use , but easy to remove if you wish.

The bike has no problem running on modern fuel because it is better now than the low-grade fuel when it was new.

Included with the sale are starting & gear change instructions written by the long-term owner and lots of other useful tips , a works manual is included and a spare part manual , plus other manuals on CD there is an active owners club for other help.

This is a lovely 1930’s bike so please don’t waste my time and only bid if you intended to turn up and pay for it ! It is the very last of my classic bike collection to be sold and no doubt be the one I regret selling, I am not a dealer so can’t offer warranty , part exchanges or any returns.

A deposit will need to be paid at the end of the auction and the balance by bank transfer.
