Description

Offered today is a unique item from the victorian era of the 1890's. This jeweled and bevel leaded back cupboard was purchased by myself out of the Newport Inn located in Newport Maine back in 1975 when I was building my first home. My parents moved into the home in 1982 and lived there until they passed a few years ago. One of my nephews purchased the back bar and is downsizing and have decided to sell it now. The top with two wonderful leaded glass half-round cabinets adjoined by a beveled glass mirror, all of which would mount on the wall and the front supported by fluted pillars. When this was removed from the home, it has been displayed and used for many years with an old fashioned wooden ice box in between the two posts and help store my liquid refreshments. The top consists of multiple elongated beveled cut crystals above and faceted multiple round cut crystals. The cabinets are just the right size to hold most bottles of liquor but I stored all my victorian crystal items. This is truly a unique accent piece for your bar. SIZE: Each of the cabinets are approx. 22 1/2" d x 19" w x 14 3/4" h. The pillars beneath the cabinet that supports it, together with the bases stand approx. 53 3/4" h. The entire back bar is approx. 66" w overall. CONDITION: generally, in very good condition. The left cabinet has a small piece of molding missing at the top. The square tall wooden bases to the pillar; each approx. 9 1/2" h and were created at a later date to support the support posts beneath the cabinets.
