Since making its debut in the original Star WarsTM movie in 1977, the
Millennium Falcon has captured the hearts of moviegoers all over the
world with its blistering speed, evasive capabilities and unique
appearance. One of the most recognisable vessels in the history of
cinema, few big screen spacecrafts can boast the legendary status of
‘the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy’.
The first release in The Royal Mint’s new four-coin collection inspired
by the most iconic spacecraft in the Star Wars franchise, the Millennium
Falcon 2024 UK Coin features a detailed image of the Corellian light
freighter just as it appeared in the original trilogy. In addition to
the Millennium Falcon, the coin also includes a unique lenticular
feature depicting both the Rebel Alliance ‘Starbird’ logo and an icon of
the Millennium Falcon itself.

franchise, this coin continues our journey through the Star Wars
universe and marks the beginning of a new chapter in The Royal Mint’s
