The wood on the handle of this key ring was hand turned on a wood lathe about 15 years ago making this a one-of-a-kind piece. My late father-in-law and I had a small company, American Penworks. We hand turned wood pens, desk accessories and other items on wood lathes. We participated in craft shows where we set up shop and demonstrated our craft while filling special orders and replacing inventory. The memories from those days are priceless. Each wood piece is protected with a coating of woodturner's finish, beeswax and linseed oil.
