Superb inlaid antique (probably dating to circa 1850) large tea caddy.
Purchased privately from a Scottish castle contents sale about 9-10 years ago. (circa 2010). Its incredibly large and measures 30cm wide x 17cm in height (when lid closed) x 15cm deep. It cost me £350. I adore the inlaid (possibly Marquetry "the" on the top lid which spells "tea" in french).
A really unique and one off piece.
Condition I would say is average as it would benefit from a professional polish, there are a few minor losses to the lower side and reverse, and there's the old age split (left corner as you look at pics of the caddy front on). Still displays fantastically well, and is fresh out of my display cabinet. A fantastic investment.
