This glove is for the RIGHT handed thrower as the glove fits on the LEFT hand ! This is probably the smallest Mizuno first base mitt that I have ! I personally measured the glove and it is right at 11.75 inches ! So it is a small, tight fit glove and it is fully and totally broken in and it is game ready ! So your young player will not struggle with a hard to use glove ! The glove also has an incredibly formed pocket that will work for both baseball and softball ! So once the ball enters the pocket of this mitt it is not going to pop out ! The inner lining is in very good condition as the glove is extremely comfortable to the hand and the fingers all the way up through the finger stalls ! As far as fitting goes, the glove is a very tight fit on my average adult size hand and the glove does have a Velcro wrist strap ! So you can get the wrist very very tight if you like it that way !
