The AT-1010 is of advanced design and of equally meticulous manufacture:  employing numerous novel design features that, together, ensure outstanding performance and provides superb quality of reproduction from any good quality cartridge, whether Moving Coil or Moving Magnet.

A unique feature of the AT-1010 is the dynamic tracing system (DTS), which provides constant tracking force and accurate tracing by positioning the cartridge stylus on a plane slightly higher than the vertical pivoting point.  By maintaining a constant tracking force the cartridge is allowed to ride and perfectly track less than flat records without producing unwanted dynamic wow, grain or other detrimental effects to sound quality.

Other notable design and engineering attributes are:

• robust pivot bearing assembly, housing and mountings to ensure essential rigidity and superior performance
• under-slung counter weight system with damping control adjustment, to deliver enhanced arm stability
• 2-way adjustable lateral weight to achieve both correct lateral and gyroscopic balance
• deep anodise, heat treated arm tube for increased rigidity and optimum self damping
• locking headshell connector (like a collet-clamping chuck) for essential rigid, resonance free performance
