You're bidding on the following comic book:
Lone Wolf and Cub #1 (3rd print)
First Comics
1987
Single issue

Introduction and cover by Frank Miller

Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima's comic first appeared in Japan in 1970 and has enjoyed huge success, being made into films, plays and a television series. There are 28 volumes (roughly 9,000 pages) of the strip in the original language, reprinted in order by Dark Horse, but selectively by First, which had around 60 story pages an issue in comic-sized format.
Cited as an influence on the visual style of some of America's filmmakers, Lone Wolf and Cub is notable in the comics world for inspiring Frank Miller (most obviously on Ronin), who provided introductions and covers for the first 12 First issues....Visually the series is amazing, mostly pen-and-ink work  with occasional wash effect, constantly graceful and vital....There's an expressionistic feel to the drawings, which goes hand-in-hand with the storytelling. This is a violent and uncompromising work that nevertheless goes beneath the surface to the heart of the characters and the social mores of the age in which it's set. Not for the faint-hearted, but essential reading for anyone who loves the medium.
