The mileage will verify that having 84,810 when purchased and now showing 84954.Included with the photos is the description of all works and parts that he had lavished on it which is why I bought it. been carried out as they were required. The following is a summary of work done as best as I can remember.

All springs and shocks replaced including rear bounce straps.

All brake lines replaced with copper as well as jump hoses.

Brake cylinders, adjusters, linings and drums replaced as required.

New clutch master and slave cylinders as well as pipe work.

Brake /clutch reservoir replaced with very solid unit.

Front axle overhauled including all swivel pins, bushes, bearings, seals, breathers and swivel pin housings. Leather gaiters fitted. Fairey freewheeling hubs dismantled and serviced with new retaining strips.

Front and rear diff. bearings and seals replaced. Units adjusted as required. rear wheel bearings and seals replaced. New half shafts fitted recently.

New universal joints fitted to front and rear prop shafts. New gaiter to front shaft.

Hand brake mechanism overhauled and new linings fitted.

A new exhaust system has been fitted but will need replacing sooner rather than later.

The gearbox and transfer box have not been touched, other than to replace seals and gaskets, as they work very well with no jumping out of gear and clean changes. First and second are of course non synchro.

The engine has not been touched, other than to replace ancillaries, fuel pump, distributor, plugs and leads, radiator and hoses, fan belt and gaskets etc. Electronic ignition fitted recently.

A webber carb. has been fitted. This has been dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned and reassembled with new jets, gaskets etc.

Compression test results on the cylinders were within the manufacturers new specification which would seem to confirm what I was told by the vendor that the engine had done very few miles. As the fan was on back to front, the timing miles out and a cover plate on the rear of the engine loose, leaking oil, I doubt it had done many miles.

The vehicle has been rewired (Autosparks loom) with an alternator fitted. It is therefor negative earth. There is a trailer socket fitted but this is untested. A ball and pin tow bar is fitted. New bulb holder and lenses have been used where required and a hazard light switch installed. An auxiliary electric fuel pump is fitted under the seat box to prime the system when the vehicle has been left for any length of time. It is activated by a button on the bulkhead. The original fuel/ammeter/main

Prior to my ownership the rear quarter chassis had been replaced and the whole chassis has been undersealed with a bitumastic sealant and is therefore in good condition. There has been minor repairs to the front dumb irons, gearbox cross member and left rear outrigger.

Foot wells have been replaced as well as the drivers door post and both bulkhead mountings. Some minor repairs were required to the bulkhead. New mud shields and steering box cover. All the above were painted with hammerite and then waxoiled. Front door panels bottoms have been repaired as required and new door tops and window channel fitted. These are now showing signs of rusting and could possibly do with repair/replacing.

The rear tub was in reasonable condition so left alone but all galvanised trim painted with a metallic zinc paint. A rear seat has been fitted to the left hand side only.

The front seats have been replaced. Carpets are in place on the cab floor but don't do much for sound deadening.

The steering box, ball joints and steering relay have been replaced with new items.

All door rubbers, windscreen, air vents and tub seals renewed except the seal between the top and bottom "cat flap" which I have not been able to source.

Tyres are 7.50 x 16 and in good condition. There is an additional spare wheel and tyre in good condition.

Jack handle and starting handle are clipped behind the seats and there is an original screw jack in the rebuilt tool box with a stirrup tyre pump, wheel nut spanners with some other tools in a roll.

There are no seat belts as these were never fitted.

The vehicle has been resprayed in its original deep bronze green and limestone though not a particularly good finish.

A heritage certificate is present.

Indicated mileage is 84,810 but cannot be confirmed as it has had over 20 owners. Full ownership records have been researched. At nearly 12 years I have had it the longest!.

There several files of receipts, invoices and data available.
