"CLARET"

BOTTLE LABEL

A delightful bottle label, in very good original condition.

The front, beautifully decorated with a blue

ribbon and flowers.

Notice that the front is very clean. This is because

it has been glazed. The back is rather dirty as it 

has been left, as usual,  in the unglazed state

The Crown Staffordshire detail, on the back is marked  "ENGLAND"

This was replaced in

1921 by "MADE IN ENGLAND".

On that basis, it is reasonable to assume that

it was made in or before 1920, which makes it an antique label

Measures approximately 5.3cm by 4.4cm

I am also listing two smaller matching labels

"GIN" & "SHERRY" which date frome the mid  1920s

I am happy to combine and adjust postage accordingly
