Description

Japan vintage PB type Hard Puncher manufactured by Tokai Musical Instruments is now in stock.
It is manufactured in 1981 according to the serial number on the plate.
This is a copy of a 70's precision bass with a rosewood fretboard, and the thick neck shape produces a bold plebeian sound.
The pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Pound, making it suitable for punk to HR/HM.
The pot has also been replaced and the electrical system has been refreshed.
We are offering this at a special price because the truss rod in the neck is at its limit in the tightening direction.
All maintenance has been completed.

<Maintenance points>
・Overall cleaning
・Fret/fingerboard cleaning
・Electrical system check
・Overall setup (string height/truss rod adjustment/octave/pickup height)

Currently, the neck is warped and the truss rod is fully rotated in the tightening direction, so it will be sold as is.
The string height is set up at the 12th fret with 3.0mm for the 4th string and 2.5mm for the 1st string.
I put a shim in the neck pocket to prioritize playability in the low position, but due to the high-pitched sound, the sound tends to get clogged in the high position.
The frets are original and have about 80% remaining. The frets seem to have little use.
The nut is original and has plenty of stock left.
Electrical system As mentioned above, the pickup pot has been replaced.
The exterior condition is good considering its age, but there are some minor scratches and dents.
Comes with a gig bag.
