Vilmer - Set 458 - Dodge US Truck with large & small searchlight & Yellow Figure with green hubs & decals
This is a well detailed rare vintage model of a Vilmer model (1/50th) being a 1950s Dodge US  Truck with Large and Small searchlights in military green including green hubs and white star on blue background decals to the doors. Condition is very good  commensurate to age with only minor age-related issues and overall very good.Comes in a fair/poor original picture box with age related issues,repair and one end flap missing.

Vilmer was founded by Kaj Christiansen around 1953. Before the war, he was a tool or instrument maker and also served as a policeman. Like many Danish policemen, he was sent to a concentration camp by the Nazis and luckily survived.When he returned to Copenhagen he set up the model business with a fellow policeman and partner.
