Vilmer 463 - Vintage Military Dodge Open Back Truck with Searchlight & Figures -1/50 scale
This is a well detailed vintage model of a Vilmer 463 (1/50th) military Dodge open back truck in military green with yellow plastic figures and moving searchlight.Condition is good plus and still a bright example in a good plus carded detailed picture box. Some paint loss and other age related issues.Please see photos.These models are very underrated.
Vilmer was founded by Kaj Christiansen around 1953. Before the war, he was a tool or instrument maker and also served as a policeman. Like many Danish policemen, he was sent to a concentration camp by the Nazis and luckily survived.When he returned to Copenhagen he set up the model business with a fellow policeman and partner.
