This is an antique leather cartridge box from the War of 1812 that has had a reproduction “CS” oval brass plate attached to the front. The leather case is 5 3/4” wide, 3 1/8” high, and 2 1/8” deep. It is in very good condition for the age with a supple leather flap. The inside of the case has a tin liner with 24 separate holes for bullets, and all of the separate tubes are soldered together to make one unit. I assume a leather cartridge case of this period is somewhat rare and desirable, so maybe you have what should be where the repro plate now sits and can swap it out. This just came out of an estate clean out in northern New Hampshire. I am not a military expert, so I hope the information I was given is correct. Shipping is $10.00 Priority mail. There is a 30 day money back inspection period, and email for more information. Thank you.
