Vintage 1920's30/s Adams Cries of London Very Large 600ml (1pint) Breakfast or Jumbo Cup and Matching Bowl Based on the scenes of Frances Wheatley Look in Excellent Condition. A Good Quality and Scarce, Circa 1920's/30's Adams Ironstone Large Jumbo / Breakfast Cup and matching Bowl showing the Cries of London scenes (images 1-8) the cup shows the vendor offering Matches and the bowl Sweet Oranges. The cup measures 12cm diameter x 9.5cm high (4.75" x just under 4" high) ) with a capacity of 600ml (1 pint) the bowl is 19.5cm (7.75") both items look in excellent condition, there are no chips, cracks or damage, the detailed pattern is sharp and clear and the glaze shiny. The scenes are based on the English Painter Francis Wheatley (1747-1801) I'm also offering matching plates and embossed plates from the same collection with different scenes and also a Teapot stand, sometimes called a Trivet (shown above) and I'm happy to combine p&p to help save on postage costs for additional purchases - please enquire or see my other listings.
