Rare Bright Gorge Complication L'epee Striking Repeating Carriage Clock
Would make a lovely gift.

I am a big fan of L'epee clocks because of their very high calibre construction and looks. This  clock has a good polish and shine to it with areas of natural aged tarnish. It looks like its original gold gilding.

The clock has been checked over by a professional, master horologist and the clock is ticking and striking correctly as seen in the short video. The complication dials (day & date) also work. The alarm also works but like most of my alarm carriage clocks they are not the most accurate.
A unqiue feature of this clock is that it has some good provenance. The engraving to the base (seen in 2nd pic) reads; "Presented to John Brown on his retirment by the Fehr family 1946- 1983".
The clock can therefore be dated to early 80s.

A similar model L'epee clock brand new now would cost around £15,000.

A wonderful, rare and very collectable version of these amazing L'epee clocks that would retail for around £2500+ in a specialist clock shop. The exact same clock is selling on ebay for over £1800.
My clock listed here will be a bargain for anything around £1000 - £1200.

Approx  15cm not including handle

Please do remember given the sensitive nature of the movements that after transit they may need adjusting and/or setting up. I recommend for these clocks to be picked up in person.

Any viewing is welcome and recommended.
Bank transfer or cash if being picked up in person.

Please look at my other rare antique carriage clocks and exotic wood items.
