Beautiful, elegant figurine of an Italian Greyhound or Whippet Dog carrying a hare from the legendary potters of Staffordshire, England, circa 1900. This hand painted figurine is of a dog standing at attention, as if it’s listening intently. Antique vintage, it’s a marvelous addition to your decor in your home, cottage, cabin or office. Makes a great gift for the dog and antique lover.

This antique piece is in excellent pre-owned condition considering the age. Mild crazing typical of the period, small possible manufacturing error at base of one foot. Minor under-glaze stray paint markings also typical of the period and techniques used. Possible tiny chip on one ear. Some paint loss on base. No evidence of repair seen. Checked with black light.
