1920s through early 1930s Complete set of 4, Pat Pending Planet 4 to 1 gear ratio Banjo Tuning Pegs.  Smooth and in perfect working order.  The nickel plating is all there.

This is a genuine set of Planet Banjo Tuning Machines that were removed from a late 1920s TB-4 Pre War Gibson Banjo.  These were commonly found on Gibson banjos from the mid 1920s through the early 1930s and are stamped PLANET PAT PEND.  Please take a look at the photos and ask any questions you like.

These tuners are in really good working order and turn smooth and free.  They have a 4 to 1 gear ratio (4 complete rotations of the button move the tuner’s capstan 1 revolution.

The ivoroid buttons are highly prized for conversion banjos, and the buttons on these great old tuners are in perfect condition.

The diameter of the tuner shaft measures 0.278” and the total height of the tuner shaft is 1.010” from the back of the headstock seat.  These machines will accommodate a headstock thickness of 0.6”. Most Gibson headstocks measure 0.5” in thickness.

All 4 washers and threaded keepers are here.  These are a whole and complete set of 4!

If you are looking for replacements for your missing original equipment, these are those.  Don’t let them get away!

I have made no attempt to clean these as the patina will match your banjo if it is vintage, but you could clean them if you like.

I assure you that these are the genuine article and that's my promise to you!

The bidding starts at only 99 cents and this is a NO RESERVE auction.

Good luck and thanks for looking and for bidding!
