Mid-1700s Brussels Brabant bobbin lace edging with exceptionally nicely designed alternating floral motifs, some with droschel background, others with classic Brabant checkerboards and stripes. A dazzling and complex vintage lace.

Designs are worked in the style of Brabant bobbin lace, with checkerboard and stripe backgrounds. This particular piece is worked especially nicely, with a variety of motifs all with a great array of snow and armure fillings.

Note thread is unusually fine, the lace translucent.  Snow grounds are minute and delicate

Condition is very good, near mint overall. Rare to find in such a fine lace.

Clean. Color is white.

About 2 yards 30 in. long by 4 1/2 in deep.
