Original Knoll Mies Van Der Rohe BRNO chair in black leather with arm pads. Flat bar version. Leather is in great undamaged condition with chrome plated steel frame. Has the Knoll fabric underneath but without the “Knoll Studio - Mies Van Der Rohe” signature stamp - this feature was introduced in the late 90’s indicating these were manufactured before then. Chrome is lightly scratched a lot on the foot of the frame, inevitable with use. This chrome can be polished and improved upon with car metal restoration products like Autosol. BRNO chairs are a serious bargain in mid-century furniture, for some reason they just sell for very little. The RRP. of this specification is £2500+ (the arm pads are an extra few hundred), at a 1/10th of that price they’re a steal! They’re far heavier than they look - hence for sale, my wife thinks they’re too heavy as our dining chairs. Price is for 1 but I have 4 available - all of the same condition.
