155. Circa early 1950’s Beautifully and very ornately carved set from India. This is one of the few sets  out of all the listings that is this elaborately crafted. The entire case is covered; front, sides and back. The pistol grip handles reflect the same care and pattern. The carving fork and knife are securely held in the brass footed scabbard  by sturdy thumb latches, also in brass. The knife is very dull and would need professional sharpening. The fork tines are burred but feel a chef’s knife steel would improve that greatly, if use is desired.

This set was never used, and  always sat on my father’s desk at home.
