For your attention today is a beautiful genuine broadtail/lamb short jacket with a real mink fur collar in a sea pearl/blonde/creamy-off white colour. It was made for a special order by Fung u. Heidt furriers in the 60’s and it is still in great vintage condition. The broadtail is the most expensive from all lambs and the price for a good quality broadtail is not cheaper than a quality mink fur. It is very lightweight, looks beautiful and feels just like silk.

The jacket has a neatly shaped real mink fur lapelled collar that compliments the broadtail lamb skins perfectly, full length sleeves, an internal pocket for your lady’s oddments and fastens with two hook and eye closures. It is lined in a pearl silky fabric and the lining is in very good vintage condition also, all intact and it has not been monogrammed. There is a slight specific real lamb's smell on the jacket but it is free from any unpleasant/musty odours.

The mink fur collar is in excellent vintage condition, soft and dense. The broadtail/lamb is in good vintage condition with only a minor amount of natural aging and general wear but without any damage, might benefit from the usual type of fur clean. The skins are still pliable with a pleasant to the eye glossy sheen and it is very lightweight.

This is a really luxurious vintage item that will add that bit of extra charm to your outfit and will make a big difference to the finished look for your special occasion. A beautifully fitting item that exudes celebrity style and elegance! The jacket cost a small fortune when it was new but our auction starts with low price and no reserve. Enjoy your bargain!

Also I would like to mention that most of the vintage coats were designed and hand crafted by the furriers, therefore each of them is quite unique and no two will be exactly the same.

As nearly all vintage fur coats were made to special orders by set individual measurements then it is really difficult to specify a standard size. You can see how this jacket looks on the mannequin (5’10” or 179 cm and approximately a UK size 8). We think that the jacket should fit comfortably from a UK large size 12 to a small size 16 but please check the approximate measurements given below:

Underarm to underarm = 22.5" or 57 cm  

Length from shoulder to hem = 23" or 58 cm

 Underarm to cuff = 15.5" or 39 cm

Across the shoulders is about 16.5" or 42 cm

Along the hem = 49” or 125 cm  

The jacket weighs 705 grams (without packaging).
