For your attention today is a beautiful real mink fur swing style jacket in a Glow/cognac/ Russian sable shade. It was made from selected by SAGA mink pelts in Britain in the 80's and is guaranteed to be in excellent vintage condition inside and out. The jacket has been worn only for a few special occasions and has obviously been cared for and stored correctly over time.

The fur of the coat is gorgeous, both in colours and texture, and the QUALITY is a key word here! The mink pelts have been fully stranded; the fur is soft with a pleasant to the eye natural luster. The fur is strong and healthy with thick and soft under-fur and without any kind of damage or visible wear at all. 

The jacket has been crafted in a loose/swing back style that is very elegant and falls gracefully around you at all times, walking or standing. It hangs really beautifully and would make a complimentary addition to any wardrobe. The jacket has a neatly shaped collar that can be worn open or closed, full length nicely shaped quite wide sleeves and two velvet lined pockets. It fastens with three hook and eyes closures.

The jacket is lined in a dark brown silky fabric and the lining is in excellent vintage condition also with only a few hardly noticeable rain drops/water marks, it is all intact and it has been monogrammed. The jacket is free from any unpleasant odours. An authentic “SAGA MINK” confirmation label is attached to the lining.

Also I would like to mention that most of the vintage coats were designed and hand crafted by the furriers, therefore each of them is quite unique and no two will be exactly the same.

As nearly all vintage fur coats were made to special orders by set individual measurements then it is really difficult to specify a standard size. You can see how this jacket looks on the mannequin (5’10” or 179 cm and approx a UK size 8). We think that the jacket should fit comfortably from a UK large size 12 to a small size 16 (maybe a small size 18 also if you have narrow shoulders and slim arms), due to its loose style and depending on how loose you would prefer the jacket to be. Also the jacket will look really good on a smaller size if you like the looser style and lots of folds. There would be more evidence of the "loose style" on a smaller size.
