This is my second journal. It took a few months and was made with lots of love and good vibes. Handmade with lots of original art inspired by, you guessed it, the circus, fairs and carnivals, gypsies, fortune tellers, travelers and clowns. Fun whimsical, and joyous, but also mysterious.  I have used various kinds of paper and stock, inks, watercolors, fabric, strings, lace, beads, gems, metals and other materials, constructing the book myself.

The book is not meant to close but stand upright. I created it as a piece of "usable" folk art. You might be using various media to write in it, including metallic pens. Warning: This is NOT moleskine to lay flat and slide in amongst other books. 

It is meant to stand out- it's a piece of folk art. There are many detachable journaliing cards and papers, ephemera, stickers, mini journals and spaces to write...It is up to you how you choose to use it. 

I spent quite a bit of time on this wanting to make something whimsical, colorful and fun yet mysterious and ethereal and that would delight you with many things to discover. There are collages, drawings, jewelry and many other medium. The artwork is not meant to be perfect-rough edges, glue spots and fraying are intentional, part of the process occurring over several months. There are several trinkets and charms throughout as well as a mix of vintage and modern fabrics. I really, really hope you enjoy this journal as much as I did making it for you. 

The journal includes a good luck crystal necklace that you can wear or leave in the journal, a fun circus themed spine dangle, several book marks, several mini journals, and book mark corners as well as many handmade journaling cards and original art that I created.
