Infra-Red (IR)

Remote controls use infra-red (IR) signals to communicate with your equipment. That means they don't need wires, which is great. But they also need a clear 'line of sight' to your equipment to work.

IR extenders allow you to hide your equipment and still be able to use your remote control.

BlastIR Pro

IR Emitter and Receiver Kit

Hide your home theater equipment and still be able to use your remote control with the BlastIR IR emitter and receiver kit. It provides all the parts you need to send your IR signal wherever it needs to go.

  • Extend remote control signals behind closed doors
  • Includes 4 IR emitters to control up to 8 devices
  • Works with Dual Band devices

Extend and Route IR Signals

Remote control signals (IR signals) need 'line-of-sight' to work. The BlastIR extends IR signals so your remote control still works, even when you've hidden your peripherals in a cupboard or closet.

Connecting the BlastIR

The BlastIR has three basic components: an IR receiver, IR emitters/blasters, and the connector block. The receiver goes next to the TV and plugs into the BlastIR block. The emitters connect to the block and go to the sources.

How it Works

The receiver picks up your IR signal and routes it through the connector block and to the IR emitters, where the signal is blasted out to your equipment.
