AN Old CAMEO Jewelry PORTRAIT PAINTING

This is a great looking medium sized 19th century oil on artist panel portrait painting of a distinguished looking English gentleman wearing a piece of cameo jewelry on his neck. Overall a fantastic looking painting, which has unfortunately suffered damage with a heavy scratch at mid right and small loss of paint along the bottom right side. Otherwise in very good antique condition with very light discoloration. Housed in an antique plaster decorated wooden frame. Unmarked other than an original Winsor & Newton artist board label on the reverse. Overall size 17 inches X 20 3/4 inches. The painting alone measures 11 1/2 inches X 15 inches.
