Absolutely beautiful, superbly toned

1902-O Morgan Silver Dollar

The coloring on this coin is not only superb, but it’s a rather unusual patina. The copper/chocolate base-tone color is almost mesmerizing, as the depth of color ebbs and flows from dark to light in multiple places, illustrating deep chocolates, medium sepia & chestnuts, and bronze, burnt umber & buff colors. Truly a palette of browns i can’t recall seeing before. Depending on how the coin is oriented in the light, there are some very faint touches of greens & purples, but these are barely there. The browns are the most dominant

on both the obverse and reverse.

It’s difficult to capture toning in photos, so I included one photo next to a non-toned Morgan for comparison.

As for condition, please see pictures. Excellent, excellent condition with very clear fields, very few bag marks, and no real problems.
