This is an item of exceptional quality. The Elwell head is in excellent condition and has only been lightly polished and sharpened.

The shaft is hand carved from English Ash with a rosewood swell and repeatedly treated with boiled linseed oil. The wedge is made from English oak.

Overall length 15inch

The sheath is constructed of 3.5mm vegetable tan leather which is sourced from an English tannery.

It is welted, saddle stitched using 1mm Riza Tiger thread and reinforced with solid brass cold rivets

The leather is dyed using Feibings oil dye and finished with a beeswax leather dressing to my own formula.

This is a sturdy hand crafted item that will give many years of service.
