You are bidding on a Republic of Korea Order of Military Merit Medal – 2cl with Ribbon Bar.  The medal is used and is in good condition with some signs of wear and age (toning/darkening) and has no enamel loss or damage. The ribbon is faded and has a star device attached.  The ribbon bar is also used and in good condition with a pinback fastener. The medal is mounted on slot brooch that has a pin and open catch fastener that is in good working order. The reverse side of the medal is numbered #852.  The Order of Military Merit was instituted on 29 September 1950 and came in five classes with each class having three grades. The Order of Military Merit is awarded to a person who rendered "outstanding military services by participating in an action in time of war or in quasi-state of war or by performing his/her duty equivalent to combat, such as responding to the attack of an enemy in a contact area Be sure to check out my other auctions for additional militaria.
