A hard to find piece, this door knocker in cast iron from A Kendrick & Sons was made in the UK during the late Victorian era.  It features an integrated mail slot flap in the center of the wide swing arm with the original spring still in place allowing for the flap top open/close as originally designed.

The decoration overall is a floral design with branch and leaf details in the knocker arm. A brass finish was applied over the cast iron, it has worn and darkened in color over time an use.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  the stud mounts for installing the unit to the door have little to no threading remaining to accept mounting bolts.  They will need to be drilled/sleeved and retapped to allow installation.  No bolts or mounting hardware included.

Stamped 'A Kendrick & Sons' back of one arm of the knocker, model 295B stamped on both the flap and the frame.

Approximate measurements:  9 1/4" wide, 3 1/2" high at highest point.  Door slot opening is 4 3/8" wide by 1 1/4" high.

Condition Notes:
No breaks, cracks, splits, bends, dents, dings or other structural damage.  Hinge for knocker is solid with no major play.  Spring strong and in place for the letter flap.  Somne surface corrosion, especially on the edges of the letter flap, there is some aging and wear to the brass finish overall.  Both standoff threaded inserts are worn smooth, an insert and retapping will be required to allow mounting of the plaque.
