This auction is for a vintage new-old-stock Ziebart Factory Rust Protection sticker decal. Internet research indicates that, in the 1970s/1980s, American Motors Corporation partnered with Ziebart Rustproofing with a program called Ziebart Factory Rust Protection.

All American Motors cars received a new rust-proofing process called "Ziebart Factory Rust Protection." This included aluminized trim screws, plastic inner fender liners, galvanized steel in every exterior body panel, and a deep-dip bath in an epoxy-based primer. AMC backed up the rust protection program with a 5-year "No Rust Thru" component to its comprehensive "Buyer Protection Plan."

This sticker is from that program. It is blue and gold and measures two inches in diameter. Please note that there are two pin holes along the left side; we would think these most likely came from the sticker being stapled to a piece of paper at some point in time. There is also some black tape residue on the back side of the backing paper; this is not on the sticker itself. Please see the photographs for complete details. Happy bidding!
