Ichiro Suzuki is one of the greatest hitters of all time. The outfielder played in Japan for several seasons for the Orix BlueWave before joining the Seattle Mariners with whom he spent the bulk of his MLB career along with stints with the New York Yankees and Miami Marlins. In Japan in the NPB he was a 7× All-Star, 3× PL MVP, and a 7× PL batting champion among his many awards and honors. In the MLB he was a 10× All-Star, AL MVP, AL Rookie of the Year, 10× Gold Glove Award winner and 2× AL batting champion among his achievements in MLB. He has also represented Japan in the World Baseball Classic and is a 2x World Baseball Classic champion. He holds the MLB records for most hits in a single season and consecutive 200-hit seasons among others.
