Vintage bluegrass guitar instruction series issued 36 years ago, this monthly series of18 publications and two instructional cassettes was published by an enterprising Dallas, Texas based player/instructor.  Issues each run about six pages in 8.5X11inch format, stapled at the spine, and includes comments by the publisher, with tablature and standard notation sheets illustrating a traditional bluegrasstune.  Including sheets for both lead and backup parts, each issue is are augmented with instructional notes and exercises– speed drills, theory, song transcribing, scales - and some issues include a basic lead chart, plus amore complex version, along with the backup sheet.  Two of the issues, May, 1987, and January1987, arrived with accompanying cassette tapes, and are included in the auction.  I never did listed to them, but presumably they each illustrate songs and lessons in those two issues. Titles are far too numerous to list here, as some issues contain more than one song.  But they are many, if not all of the traditional un-attributed material that’s been in the bluegrass public domain for many decades.

The publications are unused.  As I received each issue back then, I would sometimes read some of the author’s tid-bits and notes, and then file it away.  So, they show no foxing, no tears or other wear, stains or damage of any kind.   Questions are welcome.
