This CPU can only be installed on mainboards with an LGA 1150 CPU socket type. Not all mainboards with an LGA 1150 CPU socket are compatible with this CPU. Compatibility between a mainboard and a CPU is strictly limited to ONLY the specific CPUs that are defined as supported by the mainboard manufacturer. Mainboard manufacturers usually publish a 'Supported CPU List' which outlines all compatible processors and their prerequisites for operation. CPU models that do not appear on a mainboard manufacturers 'Supported CPU list' are not compatible with that mainboard. This CPU is only compatible with DDR3 1333 MHz and 1600 MHz RAM, operating at 1.5 volts (normal voltage). Or DDR3L 1333 MHz and 1600 MHz RAM, operating at 1.35 volts (low voltage). This CPU will work with DDR3 1066 MHz RAM, however this configuration is not recommended by the manufacturer and CPU performance is attenuated due to the use of slower speed RAM. This CPU will result in faster speed RAM (ie: 1866 MHz) attenuating speed to 1600 MHz (for both DDR3 and DDR3L).
