  • Beschreibung: Vorliegend eine fein ausgeführte Druckgrafik, welche einen klassizistischen Innenraum darstellt. Im Vordergrund öffnet sich eine Säulenarchitektur, dahinter enthüllt ein drapiertes Tuch den Blick auf ein Bett und eine brennende Kerzenleuchte. Der Raum ist durch strenge Symmetrie und exakte Proportionen gekennzeichnet, verleiht der Szenerie eine erhabene Stille und Ordnung.

Die Blattecken sind geringfügig bestoßen und geknickt. Entlang der linken Blattkante Spuren einer früheren Bindung. Auf dem Blattrand insbesondere rechts verschmutzt. In der Darstellung kleinere Flecken sowie blasser Flüssigkeitsfleck links.

  • Description: This is a finely executed print depicting a classicist interior. In the foreground a columned architecture opens up, behind it a draped cloth reveals a bed and a burning candlelight. The room is characterised by strict symmetry and exact proportions, lending the scene a sublime stillness and order.

  • Condition: Challenging condition. Foxing visible on the entire sheet. Clear liquid stains on the right. Blue ink stain in the upper right margin. The corners of the sheet are slightly bumped and creased. Traces of an earlier binding along the left edge of the sheet. Soiled on the sheet margin, particularly on the right. Smaller stains in the image as well as a pale liquid stain on the left.
