Postcard Swift & Company Meatpacking Plant Beef Cattle at Union Stock Yards 1908 -
Handwritten message: "Cattle are killed from 90 to 120 per hour. Preparing now to kill faster."

Note: This auction is for 1 card (listed above) out of 5 acquired depicting Swift & Company Packing Plant. The main card is of the Fort Worth, Texas plant postmarked 1909. The remaining 4 cards have references to the subject matter by an employee of that plant from 1908. Similar cards on the market have used the reference Chicago, IL; however, we believe given the collection that we acquired that these are from the Ft Worth, TX plant. What were once the Union Stockyards were renamed to be the Fort Worth Stockyards. All cards are listed separately in our store for purchase.
