This is a truly extraordinary pachisi board  (17" across!) by the amazing but now defunct Noble Games, designed by David R. Ridley. It's truly spectacular - Cherry wood, spring loaded dice holder (!!!), and just wait till you feel the player tokens (seriously).   Extremely rare, this game is in excellent vintage condition.  Please read on as there's so much to talk about with this board, but first, an important note:

IMPORTANT - this rare set's only real flaw is that it's missing a single token (see photos).   Which breaks my heart as a collector, really, but I promise this board is still worth every penny and when they do (rarely) come up for sale are generally in far worse condition.  This is the kind of board worth hunting down that token someday.

The board is a nice rich and dark cherry red, with gold and black details.   Each board space is a sort of raised leather block (not sure if real leather but... definitely maybe), some with beautiful gold detail.  The detail is unworn (see pictures), this board looks effectively unplayed. I see no significant wear at all, but please see photos for exact condition as I don't want to mislead you and you may see issues I don't.  And again, one token is missing.

The tokens are absolutely amazing.  Each is metal, and heavy (1.3 oz!) in a way that makes holding them feel far better than most games - like an old bone domino, or a bakelite checker, these metal tokens just have something special about them.  I'll say it again: one token is missing.

The tokens click nicely into their storage bay (and even the empty bay has nice design details).

The dice store in spring loaded compartments!  Seriously cool.  (In case you can't figure it out, push into the cut corner next to the die to insert your finger and remove the die, and reinsert the die diagonally to easily put it back).  Note that the die have some slight discoloration from being tightly held for so long, it would possibly wash right off but I prefer to sell my finds as found whenever possible as I know some like that vintage charm.  Part of that vintage charm is that it's missing one token.

The outer box has some light wear commensurate with age.  The top of the box is lightly dirty, some minor marks, nothing major.  Minor discoloration (more pronounced on the bottom when you remove the board, but not all that bad. Small water stains, I think).  The corners of the box (top and bottom) were neatly repaired at some point with Scotch tape, and the box remains structurally sound.  All in all the box is in good vintage condition, and did it's job well protecting the board itself.

I normally take photographs of all four corners in this case I wanted to take more photos of the board itself. Please see the picture of the tape on one of the corners and understand all four corners of both the top and bottom box were repaired in a similar manner at some point in time.

This board is truly a showstopper pachisi board.  Enjoy.
