old 4/4 "Maggini style" violin. it has the nice scroll and the typical double purfling. The label inside reads "giovan paolo Maggini Brescia 1629". (The violin is not that old, of course) There is a crack near the end pin hole, a little damage at the edge the instrument someone overpainted the instrument long time ago and there seems to be a crack at the front. The soundpost is ratteling inside. The instrument needs to be repaired, serviced and cleaned. (see pictures) The length is 60,3cm/23 3/4inch. The body is 36,5 cm (14 3/8 inch).
