This is a used Envoy Auto 2x Converter for manual focus Exa and Exakta 35mm SLR cameras and lenses with the Exakta bayonet mount. It supports automatic stop-down on Exakta Varex and Exa cameras if the lens has an external stop-down mechanism (protruding from the side of the lens). It does not support rear pin stopdown as introduced with the Exakta RTL system. I'm supplying it with front and rear caps (not original) and a cloth storage bag. It's optically, mechanically and cosmetically good and working well in all respects.

Since I don't currently have any compatible lenses I tested operation with a 35mm T-mount lens which I'm selling separately, fitted with an Exakta T-mount. It focused well on an Exa body as shown, and I had no problems using it. I took test pictures with a Sony A3500 mirrorless camera (APS-c format) with Exakta adapter. Weather was a slightly overcast afternoon with frequent changes in lighting. Pictures with and without the converter were taken a few minutes apart, and lighting changed between shots. All were taken at f8, 800 ISO.

Buyers should be aware that all telephoto converters reduce the amount of light reaching the film/sensor and may soften images and reduce contrast. They give their best results with prime lenses (standard and moderate telephoto) and are less satisfactory with zooms and wide angle lenses. 35mm lenses are probably OK on APS-c or smaller formats, but probably wouldn't give good results on 35mm.
