This is a faithful reproduction of a British WW1 Aircraft control grip asfound on numerous British aircraft such as the Sopwith Snipe. The grip itselfis cast aluminium, then machined, and the Gun firing levers are bronze. It isthen bound in waxed cord.

The brass fitting at the top is to house the blip switch (for cutting, orblipping, the engine).

The two levers are for independently firing the two Vickers Machine gunswhich were synchronized via an interrupter gear to fire through the propeller. They are connected via Bowden cables. The small hole at the base of the grip isto attach the grip to the control stick with a taper pin.
