Original antique hanging light from the 1920s-30s era. The glass shade is a frosted sky blue and white glass with a wonderful floral design that adorns the shade throughout. The light has had a new socket and wires updated and works perfectly. The rest of the chandelier is original as found but has been extensively cleaned and the paint polished back to the original shine. There is many layers of paint and the exposed paint is an aged white. The paint has many imperfections such as brush strokes, runs, streaks and very aged throughout the metal chain, support cap and ceiling cap. The look is original and beautiful as is but can easily be refinished if one chooses to do so. The glass globe is in fair condition with typical age ware and use, there are small cosmetic imperfections such as slight dark marks and light marred spots but no cracks or breaks. Toward the top of the light in the blue area there is some slight very faint striations/lines which may be in the glass naturally or possibly the color has aged that way. Overall a gorgeous light that has managed to stand the test of time. The light is circa 100 years old and still a functional piece of art ready to be enjoyed for many more decades to come.
