This listing is for 8 silver plated commemorative spoons featuring various U.S. presidents. All are about 6" long:

- George Washington: A bust of his likeness on the front handle and his name on the front stem. His home, Mt. Vernon, is featured in the bowl. The back of the handle and stem have crossed flags and “Wm ROGERS MGF CO.” and “IS.”

- John Quincy Adams: A bust of his likeness on the front handle and his name on the front stem. A boat on a narrow body of water and “ERIE CANAL 1825" in the bowl. The back of the handle and stem have crossed flags and “Wm ROGERS MGF CO.” and “IS.”

- James K. Polk: A bust of his likeness on the front handle and his name on the front stem. A map of what is now the lower 48 state and “ANNEXATION OF TEXAS-CALIFORNIA-NEW MEXICO” in the bowl. The back of the handle and stem have crossed flags and “Wm ROGERS MGF CO” and “IS.”

- Abraham Lincoln: A bust of his likeness on the front handle and his name on the front stem. A portion from his Gettysburg Speech in the bowl. The back of the handle and stem have crossed flags and “Wm ROGERS MGF CO” and “IS.”

- Millard Fillmore: A bust of his likeness on the front handle and his name on the front stem. “CALIFORNIA GOLD RUSH” and the likeness of a prospector mining gold next to his mule in the bowl. The back of the handle and stem have crossed flags and “Wm ROGERS MGF CO” and “IS.”

- James Buchanan: A bust of his likeness on the front handle and his name on the front stem. “1860 THE PONY EXPRESS” and an image of a pony express rider in the bowl. The back of the handle and stem have crossed flags and “Wm ROGERS MGF CO” and “IS.”

- Dwight D. Eisenhower: A bust of his likeness on the front handle and his name on the front stem. “ALASKA 49TH STATE 1959" and “HAWAII 50TH STATE 1960" with pictures of those land spaces in the bowl. The back of the handle and stem have crossed flags and “Wm ROGERS MGF CO” and “IS.”

Pre-owned and stored indoors for a very long time. Some spoons show minor signs of use and wear, others do not. These spoons have been polished and washed so they would present better and be ready to display upon purchase.

From the estate of our Uncle Paul, born in 1927, who collected all kinds of things in Denver, Colorado, from the mid-1950s until his untimely death in the mid-1980s. It’s going to take us a LONG time to liquidate the estate, so we invite you to keep watching for our listings.
