This portable cassette recorder and microphone are in good, physical condition. Both items have been TESTED and they WORK!!!  Tape recorder does Play, Fast Forward, Reverse, and Record.  The volume dial does adjust accordingly.   The tape recorder does take Five (5) "C" batteries.  Plus, there is an outlet for an A/C adapter.
