E MPEROR of the ORIENT Franklin MINT Rare CHESS SET year 1992 created by world famous artist YAO YOUXIN 20th c. Chinese each superb sculpture & crafted in finest Tesorit (tm) Quality Porcelain distinctive sculptor's blend of porcelain/resins hand painted in vibrant colors and selectively embellished with pure 24-karat gold.

It sets off rich golden accented board with its satin black finish tempered glass surface & storage for all 32 chessmen dramatic. The painted porcelain game pieces depict rivaling Chinese and Japanese teams, consisting of emperors and empresses, Samurai and Manchu warriors, priests, palaces and temples, ninjas, and palace guards. The chess board measures (20.5 x 20.5 x 4.0), and it covers the case housing the pieces. Acked are 4 inches tall. The set weighs over 15.7 pou. Please note: some of the swords on the Pawns seem to bend at different angles (it is normal). The swords are malleable, but we do not dare to touch them because they are so delicate.
