Superb
Jasperware portrait medallion of Hercules and the Nemean lion.
The dark blue
jasperware medallion/ plaque has the applied relief of Hercules and the Lion in
white jasper.
The applied
relied is deep, crisp and very well modelled.
The plaque
measures 3 inches x 2.75 inches.
Impressed on
the back ENOCH WOOD SCULPSIT AD 1781
The plaque is
in very good condition.
