Offered is an enormous (weighing 1.59 pounds!) and high end English sporting rifle bullet mold. It has a brass body with a wooden turned handle with the bullet being the ‘Picket’ or ‘Sugar Loaf’ design, in a hollow point. It does not have the hollow point adapter that screws into the bottom of the mold but it can be replicated or possibly found in another collection with a bit of luck. It is marked “560” on the right mold block. My calipers measure .566”.

This mold was likely made between 1855-1875 but I feel towards the earlier side given the .56 caliber rifle popularity through the 1860s.
